Under the direction of Hokuaulani Nihipali, Halau `Olapakuikala`i `o Hokuaulani was founded in 2004. In 2005, they opened up their permanent home and this Halau is located on the beautiful windward side of O`ahu, in Kane`ohe.

    The Halau offers classes that are open to students from 5 years old & older. The Haumana are very active in the community, enjoy dancing in numerous shows throughout the year and are always excited to travel and share their love of hula with others across the world. The Haumana are taught Kahiko (Ancient) and `Auana (Modern) Hula, as well as Oli (chant).  Classes are offered for the avid beginner to advanced students and are available whether you are just interested in recreational learning or hula for a competitive level!

In September 2007, we opened our doors to  expanded to Nagoya-city, under the direction of our Alakak`i Likolehua Honda. On March 1, 2009 we expanded to the Northern side of Japan in Hakodate (Hokkaido). Our newest addition to our Halau is in Utsunomiya (Tochigi), which opened its doors on June 1, 2009!
